Chicago Basin Backpack Trip

Chicago Basin Backpack trip with Mary Dawn, Kendra and Dave.
Note: Several of the photos here were taken by Mary Dawn.

The following post is just a few of the photos. To view the full trip please visit my posting on the website: Michael Mowery Media

Day 1: Take Durango-Silverton train to the Needleton stop. It was pouring rain, when we got off and we hiked to our campsite along side Needle Creek. It was an amazing campsite on ledge over looking creek.

Day 2: We attempted a 14ner in Chicago Basin, but because of a late start, we only made it to Twin Lakes. Very beautiful! Lots of mountain goats.

Day 3: Hike out to pick up the train back to Silverton.

Wow, what a great trip. I would definitly like to do this trip again!

Again, the full trip can be viewed here. Michael Mowery Media
Enjoy...

Durango-Silverton train that will take use to Needleton stop, for the start of our backpack trip.

WHERE HAVE I BEEN????

Sorry for the non-posts, it has been an extremely busy summer.
Between going to Moving, Hawaii, Backpack trip, and my semi-monthly trips to Denver I have not had the luxury of any significant amount of spare time.

Also, each of the above items involved lots of photos that needed to be tagged and processed.

Anyway, I have a lot of catching up to do, and hopefully by the end of this month I will be caught up. Just in time for the Fall Colors!!!!
