Michael and Mary Dawn's Europe 2007 Adventure

Ok, the day has finally arrived! Mary Dawn and I have processed our Europe photos that where taken in early March 2007.

I have uploaded a flash website of the trip with commentary. Click here or goto http://www.mikemowery.com/MikesSpot/Trips/europe2007/index.html to view it! Based on your connection speed, it might take a little time to load. One recommendation is to click on the link to load the page, and go lunch, take a nap, etc... :)

AND for those that have Google Earth installed! I have created a flyby of the trip start from Telluride. Click here to download the KMZ! Very cool!

Enjoy,
Michael and Mary Dawn

In the Prospect Bowl, a 20-minute hike to paradise

On Sunday, I along with all the other "ants" climbing up the hill, had one of the best runs of the season going down Mountain Quail. I wish I had brought my camera!, oh well.

there is 3 parts to it.
1) The hike up. Yes, I am out of ski shape this year.
2) The thrilling run down.
3) Talking about it after the fact. :)

Here is a link to the Telluride Daily Planet article.

Landing in Telluride

As many of you know, I was over in Europe the last couple of weeks. I will hopefully start posting my story this week.

But in the meantime, you can check out this YouTube video, I ran across about one of the most exciting airport landings. Ok, the video is a bit long, but it give somewhat of an idea of it.

There is a saying on a t-shirt in Telluride,
"Some people fly at 9,000 feet. We land at it", or something like that.
