President Gerald R. Ford

About 10 years ago, I was a lift operator at Vail. Gerald Ford was probably the most famous person I loaded on the lift (at least that I could recognize).

It was the first day back on the slopes after my injury. It was a blast, until I pushed it a bit too hard. Hmmm, this year might have to be little tamer. Anyway, I decided not to keep track of how many feet of decent I did this year (see last years Million Feet Goal) because, well.... it just won't be that interesting. On a different note, check out my cool goggles I got from http://www.alpenschatz.com/

Out of Commision!

Out of Commision!

Ugh, on Saturday, I sprained my knee on one the easiest runs. it was a slow fall, and the binding did not pop. I went to the doctor today, and they said nothing is broken and to stay off it for a week. So much for skiing. I guess the good news (at least from the initial diagnosis), is no major damage. However, it sure does not feel that way. They told me to schedule an appointment with the revolving Orthopedic doctor next, when they are in T-ride.

Oh well, I might now get caught up on my holiday shopping.

My first EARTHQUAKE!

Yesterday, I was working in my office, when I heard a strange sound and vibration. It felt/sound like somehing fell on the roof of the house. I went outside to see if anything did, but all was good.

I just now checked the local newspaper article, and they reported that it was an earthquake yesterday. Click here for the article.

Wow, how exciting, my very first earthquake!!!!!

Shake on....

Telluride Blues and Brews

(yep still a couple weeks behind on the blog).

Telluride Blues and Brews (Sept 15,16,17) is my favorite festival in Telluride. This was my third one, and I really enjoyed it. Greg, Stephanie, and Aspen (friends from Denver) made the experience a blast. Also thanks to Mary Dawn who added her own special flare.
