(yep still a couple weeks behind on the blog).
Telluride Blues and Brews (Sept 15,16,17) is my favorite festival in Telluride. This was my third one, and I really enjoyed it. Greg, Stephanie, and Aspen (friends from Denver) made the experience a blast. Also thanks to Mary Dawn who added her own special flare.

Woods Lake (several weekends ago)
Ugh, I am still behind on my blog entrees.
Anyway, just a few photos from a camping trip to Woods Lake with Mary Dawn.
The next morning at our camp at Woods Lake.
The trail up to the Navajo Lake wraps around Woods Lake.
Mary Dawn took this picture of Oyster Mushrooms growing on a tree.
While getting ready for our hike, I looked down and saw this pretty aspen leaf with drops on it.
The "Boys" got a good workout on this trail. Happy but tired.
Mushrooms growing on this down log.
Looking down into Navajo Basin with El Diente Peak rising above us. I had camped at Navajo Lake the year before, and it was cool, to aproach Navajo Basin from this direction. Check out my previous post for the backpack trip to Woods Lake.

Fall is a coming and Alpen Schatz
Fall is a coming with snow on the peaks, but flowers in the basket on main street. It has been quite cold the last several days....
My friend's store Alpen Schatz in Telluride. Please visit in person at the end of main street <map> or visit on line at http://www.alpenschatz.com/
Schaussi's Alpen Schatz, translated Schaussi's Alpine Treasure, aims to bring you the magical traditions of the Alps direct to your home. We offer exclusive alpine handicrafts imported from the original craftsmen hidden away in the heart of the Swiss, Italian, and Austrian Alps. Some of these crafts, such as our original Swiss Dog collars, have been passed down through generations, from father to son, for hundreds of years and represent a storybook culture not to be forgotten.
