Early this week, the snow just kept falling....
I decided to blaze a new trail leaving from our house to connect to the main trail. The snow was waist deep in places.
The next day, I took Mary Dawn on this new trail.
What a snow year it is....

Monoslideshow and Error Fixed (technical explanation)
I have been trying to figure out WHY on IE6/7 sometimes my picture slideshow would error out with Error loading MonoSlideshow.xml.
It appeared to be caused by Internet Explorer caching "incorrectly" the flash file. Also on my Apple OSX machines I did NOT see the problem.
I even posted to the user forum on the Monoslideshow website with no answer. Click here for my original question and my response under username mmowery
http://www.monoslideshow.com/vanilla/discussion/626/problem-in-ie-error-loading-slideshow-monoslideshowxml-only-when-going-back/#Item_7.
After digging for several hours on the internet, I discovered a hack to so IE wont cache the SWF (Flash) file. YES!!!!
So HOPEFULLY, all of you that have been getting errors when you re-visit my blog, will not have this problem any more.
If you DO see the error again, please post a comment so I can try to debug it.
Thank you,
Michael

Over Two Feet of New Snow
Photos taken after/during the snow storm on Jan 6. A few photos of the depth of snow around the "homestead" and photos of Mary Dawn, the Boys and I hiking/snow shoeing to the ski area. It is about 1/4 of a mile.
With all of the new snow, the skiing has been "epic". Getting in/out (up/down) the driveway has been "epic" too. Either we invest in a snow blower, or have some one plow our steep driveway. We are currently having someone plow it.

Melted Candle
Opps! we forgot to blow out the candle. A wax flow occurred.

New Years Day!
Mary Dawn and I went skiing on New Years Day. It was wonderful. Hardly a cloud in the sky. Snow was great!
The second photo show the trail leading from the ski area back toward home. About 1/4 mile to the homestead.
The last photo (#3) is a Happy New Year greeting from the cats.

Back in October, I had my 5 year anniversary with Harris, Inc.
So I ordered the travel suitcase for my gift from the company catalog.
