Yes, yet another "shameless" plug for Alpen Schatz. But I will have to say if you never been to Alpen Schatz in person, Mary Dawn will give you a personal 1 minute tour. This ad is shown and produced by Plum TV here in Telluride.

Orient Land Trust Hot Springs
On way to the front range, we (Mary Dawn, Smokie, and I) stopped off at Orient Land Trust Hot Springs to spend the night. Where is it you ask -> directions.
This time of year no one is around, and we had the natural pools all to ourselves. There is about 8 different pools in different settings. It was below freezing at night, and the water was more warm than hot. So in other words, leaving a pool to go to another one was a bit chilly.
One of the coolest things is the place is dog friendly. Smokie just watched us soak, wondering what we were doing.
We ventured into the dark night for our soaks with beverages and then back the next morning.
My favorite pool was the "Top Spring" which was a 1/4 mile hike up the hill with great "Valley Views". We went to this pool in the morning and had it all to ourselves.
The cabin was "primitive" but nice. It had a small kitchen which we cooked our chili on that night.
Over all, I highly recommend this place, if you want a natural rustic stay at hotsprings. The rate for our cabin was only $40.
The shown photos have been censored to be G-ish. (it is clothing optional)

Chocolate Lover's Fling 2009, Bid and Won gift certificate to Dentist.
Trying to get caught on photos and blogs. So, I have not put captions on these (yet), but some what self explanatory.
Chocolate Lover's Fling is held around Valentines day every year in Telluride. The money goes to San Miguel Resource Center.
My great friend Mark came down from Fort Collins and we had a blast.
The theme was "The Wedding", but this is Telluride and anything goes. I wore my purple tux.
They have a silent auction durning the event. Alpen Schatz donated a for the event.
This year I bid and won on a gift certificate to the dentist. Not very exciting, but one of my goals for 2009 was to get my teeth checked out. Also somewhat fitting for post Chocolate Lovers Fling. :)
Several years ago I bid on several items and won.

Thankful for Nature's Miracle
Valentino overall has been good about going outside, but we have had a couple of accidents. What can a puppy do?
Nature's Miracle has been used a "few" times to help with these accidents. Any one that has used this product knows it is THE best out there.
