Broomball is huge in Telluride. Last year I played on a team, but this year I did not and my knees and elbows are thanking me big time.
It seems like every year it is the Artichokes and the Cleaners in the championship.
The first goal happened with in seconds of the starting whistle.
The second goal occurred 2 minutes later, and it was looking like the Chokes would run away with it. Look how similar the first and second goals were.
In broomball, unlike hockey, it takes time to stop your forward momentum.
The Cleaners where looking for anyway to slow down the Chokes.
Here was the third goal by the chokes, but.....
... the stripes ruled that too many players on the ice, and the goal was called back. So it was still 2-0.
The Chokes were in the Cleaners Goalie's face all night.
Perfect position, and perfect whiff (all air). Lucky for the Cleaners it was not another score by the Chokes.
But in the end, it was yet another championship victory by the Artichokes.
